1. Who we are

GlobeResume is a country-specific resume builder operated by an independent developer. For anything related to this policy, contact us at support@globeresume.com.

2. What happens to the information you type

• Resume details (name, contact details, work history, education, skills and similar) are processed by JavaScript running in your own browser and saved to your browser's local storage on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers, because the builder has no server-side processing at all.
• Photos you upload are resized and stored in the same local storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.
• Deleting your data is fully in your control: use the "Clear all" button in the builder, or clear your browser's site data for this website. Either action removes everything permanently. We keep no copy, so we cannot restore it and cannot access it.

3. What we do collect

• Hosting logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs are managed by the hosting provider under its own privacy policy and are not used by us to identify or profile you.
• Email. If you email us or join a waitlist, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to send the update you asked for. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

4. What we do not do

• No user accounts and no sign-up.
• No advertising, analytics or social media tracking cookies.
• No selling, renting or sharing of personal data with third parties.
• No processing of your resume content on any server.

The site uses your browser's local storage strictly to provide the service you asked for (saving your resume as you type). This kind of storage does not require a consent banner under EU and UK rules because it is strictly necessary for the service you requested.

5. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Sold through Link, LLC), acting as merchant of record. When you buy a plan, checkout happens on Lemon Squeezy's secure hosted page: your card details and billing information go directly to them and never touch our systems. Lemon Squeezy issues your licence key and receipt by email and handles applicable VAT and sales tax. We receive only what is needed to deliver your purchase, such as confirmation that a licence key is valid; we never see your payment details. See the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy for how they handle your data. Validating a licence key sends only the key itself to our licence check service; your resume content is never involved.

6. Legal bases (for EEA and UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies: we rely on legitimate interest for security-related hosting logs, and on consent when you choose to email us or join a waitlist. Your resume content is not processed by us at all, so no legal basis is needed for it; it stays on your device.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal data. Because we hold no copy of your resume data, those rights are exercised directly on your own device (see section 2). For email correspondence we hold, contact us and we will delete it. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

GlobeResume is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Since the site collects no personal data server-side, no such data is stored by us in any case.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data (for example when payments launch), we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the main page.
